Since its inception, Alternative Fuel Diagnostics Ltd (AFD) has strived to be the best mobile Bus & Coach support service available, to help us achieve this we are looking for people who are keen to learn new skills, with a strong work ethic to move our brand forward and keep the high standards we set.
All of our Customers remain loyal to our business this has allowed us to develop strong, long-standing relationships to enhance not only AFD as a business brand but our customers having faith in what we do by providing them a cost effective ‘Fix first time’ Diagnostic service they can rely on.
By having these standards in place, it allows us to give new and existing engineers the opportunity to develop their future career with product training on behalf of our Service partners; Forsee Power, Bamford Bus, IMI. We will provide you with IRTEC Inspection Technician training, IMI accreditation along with LEV and High Voltage training to level 4 which allows you to work on live HV systems.
To be considered we are looking for people to ideally have the following:
- NVQ/SVQ/City and Guilds Level Three or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicles
- Over four years post apprenticeship experience or training
- Valid UK Driving Licence (clean licence is preferred but all can be considered)
- Valid IRTEC accreditation (preferably Bus and Coach) but applicants who do not have this will still be considered, and we will support individuals obtain this qualification.
- High Voltage training or electrical certification will also be advantageous.
- Young people looking for a fully qualified apprenticeship, or people newly qualified looking to develop their career further.
